"We wanted to thank you for such a pleasant experience during our stay. We appreciate everything you did to help create wonderful memories for the beginning of our wonderful journey together. We will be back. -- Mike & Linette, Bryan, Texas -- November 2016
"My Boyfriend gave me this weekend at Lillian Farms as a gift for Christmas. He chose this weekend because of the Bluebonnets. This was our first time to visit Lillian Farms. What a memorable weekend as Kevin proposed to me. Barbara made us feel very welcomed. When planning this B&B, they left no detail unnoticed. Thank you for a lovely weekend!"
"What a wonderful place! Peter and I truly enjoyed everything from the hot air balloon ride, to the wonderful breakfasts and staff, and the long quiet walks on the property."
"Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to us and welcoming us in. The "Longhorn" room was picture perfect. We loved the fireplace and got a great nights sleep in the comfortable bed. It was a perfect escape for the two of us. Breakfast was Devine!! Best of luck to you and I hope we get to visit you again soon."
"We stayed for our 10th anniversary and the room was everything we would have hoped for and more! The place is absolutely gorgeous and Shannon and Tyler took excellent care of all the guests... so gracious and friendly. We hope to be back soon!"
"From the moment you enter the gates at Lillian Farms, the stress of daily life disappears and a sense of calm floods over your entire body. Wonderful relaxation."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lillian Farms and plan to return there again soon. Our room was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and the accomodations felt like home. The breakfast was awesome; with a wide variety of choices including egg casserole, bluberry cobbler, fruit, biscuits with gravy or toast, juice and coffee. I gained 5 pounds just looking at all the good food to eat! Overall, the home is more than I expected and decorated very nicely throughout. It is unique and reminds me of a by-gone era, where stately mansions welcomed travelers for an overnight stay. I highly recommend you consider Lillian Farms, if you are in the area and need a great place to stay - my family will definitely return in the near future."
"Beautiful, well-designed B&B with most gracious hostess. She truly made us feel welcome and at home. Huge property with horses, dogs, scenery, beautiful countryside and views. Enjoyed walking the property, sitting on the enormous wrap-around porch; no noise, traffic or disturbance, just quiet nature. This was a huge breath of fresh air for us; really able to set aside the stresses of life and just relax. Very amenable staff, good breakfasts. We felt so welcomed and will definitely return."
"This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and we were not disappointed. It was very comfortable and the grounds were just beautiful. Breakfast was my favorite part!! We stayed here to shop Round Top and although it was a little far out, I would stay there again!"
"We did not think our second stay this year at Lillian Farms could get any better. Happily we were wrong. We met another couple on their 5th stay and they were as happy as the four of us. Barb and her staff are what down home southern comfort and class is all about. We have allready blocked out our next stay. We can hardly wait. We hope to see you there someday."
"When Barbara says her home is yours, she really means it. When we were to check out on Sunday at the time the Dallas Cowboys / Houston Texans NFL Football game was to kickoff, she invited us to relax in her den and watch the game on her big screen TV. We took her up on the offer.
230 acres of hearing nothing but the gentle breezes, relaxing on the wraparound porch with rocking chairs or two person glide rocker, seeing the horses freely roaming the grounds, enjoying her five friendly dogs, fishing in the pond, or relaxing under the stars in the hot tub (free to use around the clock) while enjoying a glass of wine . . . do you get the picture yet?
We love the facilities, but really just love the spirit that Barbara exudes. A sign in the home rings true - it says "come as strangers, leave as friends". And so we did! We consider Barb as a personal friend, and we really look forward to returning in the very near future. Thanks Barbara for your warm southern hospitality."
With Love, the Browns
"Lillian Farms is a perfect place to celebrate or just to relax.. The House and Rooms are designed with the guest in mind.
Exceptionally maintained, quiet, and very comfortable. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. Our compliments to the Chef. Having breakfast with some of the other guests was a time for great conversation. The excellent stay is a credit to the care and concern of the InnKeeper Barbara. We will be returning very soon."
"We Were At Another are place AND IT was not the same as the last time we stayed there. LILLIAN FARMS TO THE RESCUE! Great rooms with great beds. FABULOUS home cooked food that is five star. BARBARA AND TYLER AND CHEF are the best. Stay here. We will be back. OH, the fishing is spectacular. My son is a real fisherman and said he thinks he caught the biggest bass he has ever caught. Thank you and blessings to all."
"My husband and I went to Lillian Farms to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was beautiful, peaceful and the hospitality was wonderful. Barbara is an awesome Inn Keeper who says the place is "God's House" I love that, Barbara and it sure seems that way! You know how to make folks feel at home. The food was awesome,,,thanks to Shannon! The Long Horn Room was so comfortable and spacious! We loved the views, the openness of the acreage, the horses, honking geese, but of all the animals....I loved Bailey, the donkey! Again, we loved this B&B which is away from town, feels very peaceful. Thanks Barbara, Shannon, and Tyler!"
"Only one complaint! Our stay was only three days! The beauty of the Texas Hill Country Wild Flowers is truely a master piece backdrop for this remarkable B&B. We were taken back in time the moment we started the drive from the gate to the main house where the owner was standing on the front porch to welcome us to her home. Her and the staff's attention to every little detail from the fine china and gourmet breakfast to the antiques transport you back in time when southern charm was a way of life. You feel like you are a part of the love that brought all of the right elements together for this true gem known as "Lillian Farms". Thank you and we will see you again real soon."
"Every aspect of our stay at Lillian Farms was the very best, from our online booking to our final good-by, which came all to soon. We received VIP treatment from the owner and from every member of the staff we came in contact with. All of the common areas were exceptionally confortable and always available. We really could not have been more comfortable and "at home" had we been in our own home. The five star breakfasts would satisfy the most discriminating tastes and were most graciously served in a beautifully appointed dining room. We will heartily recommend Lillian Farms to anyone looking for a special getaway from the chaotic lifestyle in which most of us live our daily lives."
"My wife & I spent 2 nights at Lillian Farms celebrating our anniversary. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are very nice, and the staff makes you feel like you are at home. Lillian Farms is definitely the place to stay if you're looking for a B&B in this area!"
"We loved our stay! The country setting was just what we need to get away. The breakfast was so yummy, and our room was beautifully Texan. Barbara is so friendly, as is the rest of the staff. A perfect getaway!"
"Lillian Farms' appeal begins with the host who is warm, friendly, and obviously loves what she is doing. She designed the home to be a B&B with each guest room unique in design and character. There is an impressive staircase (and an elevator) leading to the rooms. We stayed in Lillian's Rose Room which featured a large window over the bed where we could see the stars at night. As the property is far from big cities the stargazing is good. We had a clear sky and a new moon - the stars were stunning. Lillian prepares a delicious, full breakfast that she serves at 9am in the dining room. We had a wonderful time meeting and talking with the other guests. The house is large with plenty of areas to just hang out and relax. There is a large, wraparound porch with views of the ranch and surrounding countryside. All in all Lillian Farms provides a wonderful experience. The room rates are an amazing bargain. To top it all off, there is Blue Bell ice cream in the min-fridge upstairs for bed time snacks. Perfect!"
"This is the best kept secret. A lot of people don't know about this place. We have stayed at Lillian Farms several times and the last time took my mother-in-law from Norway. She said that it was so beautiful, she could have stayed there, "Forever". It is very secure and has a gate at the front that must be used with a code. Once your in, you will notice the amazing yellow house in the distance just past the lake. There are horses, goats, and swans. The rooms are the best we've seen and plenty of space. You can even get married there. They have a large hall in the back that looks like a barn. Very charming, very CLEAN, and everyone there are so nice."
"Our stay was terrific; the staff is very informative and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very enjoyable and DELICIOUS!! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, my husband and I enjoyed the fishing and amount of space we had to our selves. Our room was the best ever, and a long soak in the huge bath tub was just what I needed. Thank you to Lillian Farms for our gorgeous weekend!"
"We stayed at Lillian Farms for a weekend and had a wonderful time. This Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful Country Estate, a working ranch surrounded by rolling hills of green, and their own lake. The outdoor areas are beautiful and relaxing, full of flowers. We enjoyed watching the cows, horses and donkeys grazing in the pastures. No detail was spared in designing this place. The home could be featured in "House Beautiful". The formal areas are full of wonderful antiques, rugs, pictures, and china. The homeowner, Barbara, was the perfect host and the staff, very accommodating. We stayed in the Longhorn Suite upstairs and it was decorated in "Texas Style". The bed was heavenly, the room had a gas fireplace, old-fashion soaking tub, and large windows with wonderful views of the lake and the ranch animals. We felt so relaxed when we left. To get away from the city, hear nothing but the birds singing and the cows mooing. It's nice to know there are still places we can go to truly get away from the fast-paced life, get back to nature, and be treated so well. We took long walks, had a picnic under the shade trees and rode around looking at the bluebonnets. Everything here is immaculate and first-rate. You will love this place. Thanks Barbara. You make a lot of people happy. We will be back!"
